Inclusion Policy

Every person who visits Sunnymead kids will be treated equally, yet respecting differences. We will provide a safe and secure environment for all children feel valued and encourage all contributions. We uphold the value that every person attending Sunnymead kids is an individual.

It is my aim to ensure that every child can participate in each activity and appropriate adaptations may be made to ensure this. Should you have any suggestions on how to enhance a child's stay here they would be welcomed.

Every child who attends Sunnymeadkids will be treated with

Any person who is seen or heard to be using inappropriate or discriminatory behaviour or language will be challenged and should this behaviour continue then the child’s place at Sunnymead kids will be reviewed under the admissions & departures policy. We fully adopt the United Nation Conventions on the rights of the Child and devised our policies with the children and for the children. 

We are aware of current legislation under the following acts;

  • The United Nations Convention on the rights of the Child (1991) 
  • Special Educational Needs and Disability Act (SENDA), 2001
  • The Race Relations Act (1976) & Amendments (2000)(2003)
  • The Sex Discrimination Act (1975)
  • The Children Act (1989)(2004)(2006)

We review all our polices annually or when a change in legislation makes it necessary.
